We learned, we laughed, and we immersed in nature: this was our trip to El Palmar

Smiles, wetlands and a fresh start

Our journey began with shy smiles and a deep desire to escape the city. Our first nature stop was a private reserve in the Paraná Delta, where we were welcomed by the team from Proyecto Pantano. They shared their amazing work protecting the endangered marsh deer, and their passion was contagious. We played games, walked among the wetlands, did yoga outdoors, and enjoyed a delicious lunch. That moment sparked the first real connections among the group.

Arriving at the Aurora del Palmar Reserve was the perfect closing for the day: palm trees, endless skies, the scent of the countryside, a warm dinner and that comforting feeling of being exactly where we needed to be.

Safaris, bikes, and a starry night

The next day we jumped on 4x4 trucks for a photo safari among the iconic yatay palms. We spotted capybaras, stunning birds like herons and kingfishers, and took in breathtaking landscapes. In the afternoon, we hopped on bikes and rode through El Palmar National Park, letting the trails guide us through new discoveries.

When night fell, nature had one more gift in store: a clear sky for an unforgettable stargazing experience. With a glass of local wine in hand, we listened to cosmic stories under a dazzling universe rarely seen in the city.

Canoes in Los Loros stream

Water, horses and heartfelt goodbyes

Adventure continued on the water: we canoed along Los Loros stream and the Uruguay River, silently gliding through lush vegetation and birdsong. Later, we saddled up for a peaceful horseback ride through the grasslands and palm groves — a soothing moment hard to put into words.

Just when we thought we’d experienced it all, one last canoe ride down El Palmar stream offered the most gentle farewell. Some photos, spontaneous hugs, and that beautiful silence that comes at the end of a trip you never wanted to end.

Travel group at El Palmar

A trip that made us reflect

Every stop was a chance to learn. From the conservation efforts of Proyecto Pantano to the talks with our guides about invasive species threatening the ecosystem, we came away with a new awareness of how our choices impact nature. We felt like being part of this trip was also being part of something greater.

An unforgettable group

Most of us didn’t know each other at the start, but by the end we were sharing laughs, meaningful conversations, and even a few confessions. That kind of magic only happens when people meet in the right place at the right time. What started as a group became a small community, united by this powerful experience.
