A Wild and Moving Experience in the Pantanal

A wild and moving experience

This was an unforgettable journey. Although we had already visited the Pantanal in July, this second expedition had a special energy: passionate photographers, unique wildlife scenes, and a deep connection with nature that rarely happens with such intensity. We also added a full day at Chapada dos Guimarães, with its red canyons and hidden waterfalls. The contrast was perfect.

During our boat safaris on the São Lourenço River, we missed nothing: jaguars, giant otters, caimans, capybaras, and birds in every color. The peak moment was witnessing a jaguar stalking and catching a chachalaca — an unforgettable sight.

Each sunrise brought a new postcard. And each sunset, a shared mate, photographic memories, and knowing smiles. The Pantanal gave us everything — and more.

A journey to treasure

This trip was specially designed for wildlife lovers and photographers. With more days in Porto Jofre, we had plenty of time for boat rides and species tracking. We also took a walk in search of tapirs and even had a talk with the Panthera team to learn about their conservation work. The conditions were exceptional, and the photo records from this trip were truly remarkable.

The visit to Chapada dos Guimarães was the cherry on top: hikes between reddish cliffs, endless viewpoints, and the chance to see endemic birds in their natural habitat. A magical day before returning to the hotel and getting ready to head home.

What travelers said

“It’s the kind of trip that changes you. Because of the wildlife, but also the group, the silence of the river, and that indescribable emotion of seeing a jaguar in the wild.”

“I didn’t expect to see so much. SO much! I came back with a full memory card — and an even fuller heart.”

“Chapada felt like the poetic ending of a great book. A totally different landscape, and a perfect finale to an immense experience.”
