This trip to Iberá and Campo San Juan was a balance between the planned and the unexpected. Nature, wildlife, and genuine moments came together in an authentic experience filled with emotion and discovery.
From the very first day, Campo San Juan welcomed us with a mosaic of grasslands, forests, and birds at every step. Reserva Don Rodolfo turned out to be a delightful surprise — wild yet cozy, perfect for listening to the sounds of the Misiones forest as night fell.
During the night walk, our binoculars caught flashes of movement — owls, bats, insects — and that deep feeling of standing inside a living ecosystem, breathing all around us.
Once in Iberá, the days unfolded like a series of living postcards: marsh deer, capybaras, jacanas, herons, and sunsets where the water seemed to melt into fire. On the last day, rain changed our plans. Instead of kayaking, we went for a muddy trail walk — and it was perfect. We watched how animals sheltered, how the landscape became more intimate. No one complained; everyone agreed it was a truly authentic moment.

A journey to reconnect
The group was small, diverse, and curious. Some came for the birds, others for Iberá’s silence — and everyone left with something unique. Every shared talk, every laugh under the inn’s veranda, every mate overlooking the wetlands reminded us of something essential: traveling is learning to see the world with new eyes.
